Michael Moran began his career in the car business at a very early age. He worked under the auspices of his father who had his own dealership. There, Michael learned the business from the ground up. Because he is a hands on person, Mike began in the service and auto body departments. His mechanical abilities helped him move up in ranks to the sales department where he flourished as a top notch salesman.
Geoff Nichols began his career in the automotive industry at age 21. He was hired at a local dealership as a salesman. He worked very hard to learn the business and it became apparent that Geoff had a knack for sales, and quickly moved up in the ranks as Sales Manager. His attention to detail, making sure all paperwork was completed 100% perfect, and his ability to obtain his customers' trust and respect allowed him to gather an extensive broad scope of customers.
Geoff and Mike got together and began their quest as business owners, and bought an Ugly Duckling Rental Company in 1986 with the idea of purchasing property to open a top of the line used car dealership. As their business progressed, they purchased property, put up a building, and soon M & N's Autohouse opened in 1988 as an independent used car dealership located in Old Saybrook, CT.
To date, M & N's Autohouse has been in the same location, with the same two owners selling quality used cars and trucks for over 23 years. Throughout the years, we have sold over 15,000 vehicles! This is outstanding! As time went on and the world wide web evolved, we began shipping vehicles all over the world including the United States of America, England, France, Germany, Switzerland and Saudi Arabia. This is amazing! A feat not everyone can or will accomplish! Because of the internet, our business became increasingly busy, and as a result, Joyce Scarlett was hired as a sales consultant to handle the overload of customers as well as internet sales. Joyce was somewhat of a newcomer to the car business, but worked hard to establish her own clientele as well as take care of existing returning customers.
Throughout the years, M & N's Autohouse has continued to grow and prosper, and as a result, another salesman was hired. Earl Endrich Jr. began his career as a commercial fisherman. Owning his own boat, Earl would venture out in rough seas and bring back his catch to sell to local large fisheries. Realizing he had a knack for sales, Earl later ventured out into the car business where his knowledge and love for cars earned him the trust and respect from an extensive customer base. His strong sales skills are an asset to M & N's Autohouse and we welcome him.
